Ceon Phillips stars in Greiggs Softball Cricket awards
Ceon Phillips of Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem proved to be the standout player in the 2016 edition of the Hairoun Brewery/ Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem Softball Cricket Competition.
When the competition ended last Sunday, Phillips was the toast of the presentation ceremony. His 45 in a losing effort in the teamâs final against Owia Young Strikerz, earned Phillips the Player of the Final award.{{more}}
For scoring the most runs in the competition â 245, Phillips received the Lystra Franklyn trophy and buffed it all with the Player of the Series award.
Meanwhile, pipping Phillips as the best wicketkeeper was Smashersâ Delano Woodley, who had four catches and three stumpings to his name.
Woodleyâs team mate St Clair Dickson, with 15 wickets, was the competitionâs leading wicket taker.
Keno Matthews of Nar Fren Dem won the award for best catch.
Grabbing the award for most outstanding umpire was Morrell Leslie and the best manager â Ronan Rawlins of Owia Young Strikerz.
James Rawlins got the nod for the most loyal supporter of the 2016 edition, while Snipers Reload took away the best dressed award and CGM Gallagher Novice â the most disciplined team.(RT)
