Curtains come down on Cane End Netball Competition this Sunday

The Cane End Netball Competition concludes this Sunday at the hard court of the Cane End Government School.

Before Sunday’s finale, the semi-finals are set for the same venue, this Tuesday and Thursday.{{more}}

On Tuesday, the powerful High Park United play M-PESCO Titans and on Thursday, Francis Combined face off with Nar Fren Dem in the other semi-final.

Both matches are scheduled to begin at 4:15 p.m.

The winners of the semi-finals meet in the final, which is set to get going at 3 p.m., with the two losers set to battle for third place from 1:45 p.m.

Prizes and trophies won in the competition will be distributed at a closing ceremony which follows the competition’s final.

The Cane End Netball Competition opened September 17, after a 10-year hiatus.

Apart from the four semi-finalists, the other competing teams were Out Ah Trouble, Glenside Ball Blazers and Freeland.(RT)
