Greaves takes masters cricket MVP award

Felix Greaves was declared the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2016 SVG Masters’ 20/20 Cricket Competition, which concluded last Sunday at the Sion Hill Playing Field.

Greaves, who represented first timers in the competition Mustique Masters, scored 293 runs and captured 17 wickets. Adding to his achievements, Greaves was one of two centurions, as he scored 102 not out, versus Computec Belfongo.{{more}}

And, in his wickets tally, Greaves had two five-wicket hauls. His efforts helped his team reach the semi-finals.

Scoring the most runs – 308, was SVG Co-operative Bank P’tani’s Jerome “Parry” Samuel.

Part of his aggregate was his 106, made against Bequia Cricket Association Masters.

The top bowler of the competition was Sion Hill’s Joseph Medford with 18 wickets. Medford had the best bowling figures in the competition when he took 6 for 5 against Pastures.

North East won this year’s competition, beating P’tani by six wickets.(RT)
