SVGCA Inc to host AGM this Saturday

The SVGCA Inc will host its Annual General Meeting (AGM) this Saturday, December 3, 2016. The AGM will be held from 10 a.m. at the Media Centre, Arnos Vale Sporting Complex.{{more}}

One of the main items on the agenda at the upcoming AGM is election of a new executive. The last election in 2014 resulted in the entire executive being returned unopposed, after only a six-month stint in office.

President Kishore Shallow at the just concluded SVGCA Inc Awards and Gala Dinner, indicated his intention to continue at the helm of the association. Notwithstanding, the president wants the affiliates to come out in their numbers and be part of the democratic process of electing their executive.

“I suspect that similar to most AGM in an election year the turnout should be good, which is quite healthy for cricket. It is important that the affiliates come out and be part of the election process to put the persons in position that in their opinion are best to serve the sport,” said Shallow.

The current executive members are: Kishore Shallow (president), Elson Crick (1st vice-president), Denis Byam (2nd vice-president), Samuel Holder (secretary), Cleton Burnett (assistant secretary), Jenry Ollivierre (treasurer), Miles Bascombe (committee member), Deighton Butler (committee member), Romel Currency (committee member), and Samantha Lynch (committee member).
