A committed match official for over 23 years in the annual Barrouallie Football League, Cunningham was this year unable to perform duties in the middle, because of a recurring injury to his right knee.
Cunningham told SEARCHLIGHT that he was humbled by the recognition.
âAt least someone has recognized my contribution and I am grateful to the Barrouallie Sports Association for their thought.
âI am also thankful, as there have been others who have made contributions in the past, but they were never recognized,â he added.
Cunningham revealed that because of his knee, at times he is immobile and has more or less retired from officiating, but promised to help out the league, if need be.(RT)
