Barrouallie Football League dishes out individual awards
Several players were recognized for their showing in this yearâs Barrouallie Football League, which concluded recently at the Keartons Playing Field.
At the prize-giving ceremony, which officially packed up the tournament, there were awards presented for the standouts in the Digicel/Norrel Hull Under-17 Division, as well as the Bank of SVG Senior Division.{{more}}
Taking the best goalkeeper award in the U-17 Division was Adare Twoâs Jolando John, with Adare Oneâs Lesron Craigg, adjudged the best defender.
Meanwhile, the divisionâs winners â North Leeward Predators, through Diel Spring and Chelson Hendrickson of Layou, pouched the award for most goals.
In the Bank of SVG Senior Division, the best goalkeeper award was snuffed by Amall Francis of Keartons United.
Second placed Sharpes United copped two accolades, as Philron Lavia won the best defender title and Kurtland Williams, the best midfielder.
And, former SVG Under-19 cricketer, Benniton Stapleton, who represented North Leeward Predators, showed his other talent, as he took the award for most goals.
