SEDI football committee recognizes handyman

Homage was paid by the football committee of the South East Development Inc (SEDI) inter-community competition to one of its handymen, Edwin “Eddy” Charles.{{more}}

The committee, at the closing of this year’s football competition, rewarded Eddy with a food hamper, in recompense for his service. Eddy, who has been described as the committee’s “handyman”, chips in wherever he sees it fit.

According to the chair of the committee Yolande London, “Eddy serves as groundsman and is eagle-eyed with retrieval of ball during the football competition… He goes above and beyond.”

She noted that Eddy serves the wider SEDI organization in all of its activities, mainly with the South East Steel Orchestra and the hosting of the Stubbs Nine Mornings festivities.(RT)
