SVG goes one down in FIFA accredited match officials

St Vincent and the Grenadines has some work to do in the area of refereeing, as we now have one fewer person on football’s world governing body list of match officials for 2017.{{more}}

This, after assistant referee Kevin Michael was removed, reducing the number of Vincentians accredited from five to four.

Furthermore, the two persons who were nominated to FIFA’s Refereeing Department – Kennard Richards and Collin John — as potential assistant referees, were not accepted.

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF) in April this year hosted a course, which formed part of the FIFA’s Referees Assistant Programme (RAP).

The main instructors of the course were Jamaican Victor Stewart and Trinidadian Joseph Taylor, who are FIFA accredited referees’ instructors.(RT)
