Street Fighters, Injectors reach Greiggs Softball last eight
Street Fighters and Dr Thomas Injectors have joined the last eight of the St Vincent Brewery Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem 20/20 Softball Cricket Competition, being hosted at the Greiggs Central Playing Field.{{more}}
Street Fightersâ eight wicket win and their advancement came at the expense of Snipers Reloaded.
Batting first, Snipers Reload were dismantled for 88 in 17.4 overs. Denroy Hazell was the lead batsman, making 40, while Deshorn King took 2/7 and Kimson Dalzel had bowling figures of 2/11.
Street Fighters cruised to 91 for 2 in 12.3 overs. Winsbert Springer scored 39 not out, to see his team to the quarter-finals.
Likewise, Dr Thomas Injectors crafted a 42-run triumph over Sion Hill Tallawahs.
Dr Thomas Injectors rallied to 110 all out from their 20 overs. Kesron Ashton made 19.
Shanley Lavia was the pick of Sion Hill Tallawahs bowling, taking 4/24.
Sion Hill Tallawahs, though, did not negotiate the bowling of Javon Nero and Desroy Lavi, who both took 2/2 and Kesron Ashton picked off 2 for 19, as Sion Hill Tallawahs crumbled for 69 in 14.1 overs.
Shawn Williams, with 22, was Sion Hill Tallawahsâ brightest spark with the bat.(RT)
