North Leeward Cricket Competition reaches quarter-finals
The quarter-finals of the Vinlec North Leeward Twenty/20 Cricket Competition begin this Sunday at the Petit Bordel Playing Field.{{more}}
From 9:30 a.m., Peto Stars battle North Stars and from 1:30 p.m., defending champions Circumstance take on Upsetters.
Before them though, Carlos James Troumaca Starlight will meet Rose Bank from 1 p.m. on Saturday, in the last fixture of the preliminaries.
When action took place last weekend, Big League and Carlos James Troumaca Starlight registered wins.
Big League recorded a 37-run win over Robertsonâs Surveying Future Legends. Big League made 120 off 14.1 overs. Cuthbert Springer led with 57. Bowling for Future Legends, Benniton Stapleton picked up 3 for 29, Amansford Richards â 2 for 23 and Veonson Stapleton â 2 for 28.
Future Legends were bowled out for 83. Benninton Stapleton stroked 32, while Omalie Lavia grabbed 5 for 2 and Shangi John â 3 for 28. Kishore Shallow of Coulls Hill Rangers scored 111 in 19.2 overs against Troumaca Starlight, with Hector Cordice â 35 and Marcus Mc Coy â 31.Kwani Lewis snared 2 for 15 and Donald Delpesche â 2 for 20.
Starlight replied with 115 for 3 off 12.3 overs to win by seven wickets.
Jarani Haywood led with 40 not out and Tilron Pompey â 32.
And, North Stars had an easy win over Ruddyâs Electrical, who did not show up for their encounter.(RT)
