SVG Rugby Union contributes to staging of Culture Fest

The SVG Rugby Union played its part in ensuring that the inaugural Culture Fest, which formed part of the national independence celebrations, was a success.{{more}}

The union hosted five rugby clubs, including two from St Lucia, and together, they took part in a friendly seven-a-side tournament, in conjunction with Vincy Motorsports at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field on Saturday.

SVG B team defeated Trinity Rugby Club 28-21, while SVG A and St Lucia played to 21-21 tie.

Meanwhile, SVG B won from St Lucia Girls, 30-10 and St Lucia outplayed Trinity Club, 26-0 and SVG A outlasted SVG B, 29-19.

Next up on the SVG Rugby Union’s agenda is the Get Into Rugby Festival, set for the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex on December 3, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Also on that day, the men’s senior sevens league cup final will also take place. This is slated to kick off at 1 p.m.(RT)
