NACAC Chatoyer Endurance 10k to take place November 20
Persons here and abroad wishing to participate in the 2016 North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) Chatoyer Endurance 10K, have until 5 p.m. on November 4 to get registered.{{more}}
Overseas competitors in the international category pay an entry fee of US$50, while locals are required to pay EC$50.
Meanwhile, it will cost local entrants in the Under-20 bracket $20 to contest the race and Over-20, a fee of EC$25.
Advertised as the âWorldâs Most Challenging 10Kâ, the race, put on by Team Athletics SVG, runs off at 3 p.m. from Gordon Yard to the Chateaubelair Playing Field, in the North Leeward area.

Cash prizes will be rewarded to the top three athletes, both male and female in each category.
The top places in the international category get US$1,000, $700 and $500 respectively.
The top three finishers in the local Under-20 category will pocket EC$400, $200 and $150 in that order, while the first place in the local bracket of the Over-20 gets EC$ 600, second place â $400 and third place â $200.
The race returned to Team Athletics SVGâs calendar in 2015, after several years of absence, when it was then staged from Peniston to Fort Charlotte.
Last yearâs winner in the international category was Kenneth Rotich of Kenya, in a time of 39 minutes 48 seconds, with Vincentian Pamenos Ballantyne second and Trinidadian Curtis Cox, third.
In the womenâs race, Trinidadian Tonya Nero was first in 42 minutes 31 seconds, with SVGâs Linda Mc Dowall placing second and third was Fanjanteino Felix of Martinique.
Last year also saw participation from Cuba and Grenada.(RT)
