Six teams contest Layou Inter-Village Football Competition
Six teams representing some of the villages which make up the town Layou are contesting the 2016 Layou Inter-Village Football Competition.
In are Texeira Road, Old Boys, Jamrock, Plan, Parsha and Cashville, who will be vyeing for title honours and of course, bragging rights.{{more}}
When the 2016 edition opened on Sunday at the Layou Playing Field, the six teams were involved in a single elimination soccer-a-rama competition.
Parsha emerged champions of the soccer-a- rama over Jamrock in the final.
Prior to the on field action, last Sundayâs opening ceremony was addressed by parliamentary representative for Central Leeward Sir Louis Straker and president of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation Venold Coombs.(RT)
