Simple Boyz add another win in NLA TBPO Softball Cricket

The latest to feel the pressure of Simple Boyz was Richmond Hill United, who were beaten by 50 runs last Saturday at the Dauphine Playing Field.
Simple Boyz posted 142 for 6 in 20 overs, led by their talisman Desron Maloney, who made 38, while Xavique Alexander stroked 36 and Nicos Davis, 27.
Bowling for Richmond Hill United, Deptor Culzac took 3 for 25 and Colin Lee 2 for 25.
But Richmond Hill wilted under the bowling of Maloney, who picked off 4 for 21, crashing to 92 all out in 12.2 overs.
Rawdon Bentick with 31 and Marvin Harry â 26 sparked briefly for Richmond Hill United.
Following Simple Boyz in the winnersâ circle were Smart Strikers and Gomea Bombers, who got the better of Young Stars and Dipcon Road Warriors respectively on Sunday.
Smart Strikersâ victory was by eight wickets.
Young Stars scored 114 for 8 in 19 overs, with Rodon Perry making 20.
Bowling for Smart Strikers, Atnel Ash took 2 for 15. Smart Strikersâ reply saw them rushing to 116 for 2 from a mere 7.1 overs, as Harvan Smart belted 56 not out and Britol Scott 48.
And, Gomea Bombers won by 37.
Bombers batted first and made 159 for 6 in 15 overs; Bernard Bushay made 46 not out, Alwyn Quashie â 37 not out and Noel Carr â 33.
Jamal Williams had figures of 3 for 35 and Damon Mason 2 for 13, bowling for Dipcon Road Warriors.
However, the Warriorsâ batting did not come up to trumps, and they were railed in at 122 for 5 from their 15 overs.
Everson Thomas struck 45 and Larson Mason 38, but their efforts were insufficient to see their team over the line.(RT)
