It will be sandwiched by matches in the primary division and the traditional opening fixtures in the secondary division.

Last year’s champion in the junior division of the secondary schools’ division St Martin’s will meet runner-up the Bethel High School in competing for the Tyrone “Tweety” Spence Shield, while in the seniors, reigning champions, the Georgetown Secondary, will go up against the Dr JP Eustace Memorial, as the two quest for the Sylvester “Scobie” Taylor Shield.

When the finals of all three competitions took place last December, the Lodge Village Government stopped the Kingstown Preparatory School one-nil in the primary division.

In copping the junior division of the secondary division for the first time, St Martin’s defeated the Bethel High School, 3-1, while Georgetown Secondary got past Dr JP Eustace Memorial 2-1 to cop the senior division and the first national football title for that institution.

For the 2016 tournament, a total of 22 schools, divided into four zones, will compete in the primary schools’ division; 15 will contest the junior category of the secondary schools, and 19, in the seniors.(RT)
