Road Tennis Competition swings off next Monday

The Division of Physical Education and Sports will be holding a Road Tennis Competition next month. Originating in Barbados, Road Tennis is played on a 10×20 foot court, marked on the road or any hard surfaced area.{{more}}

Preliminary rounds will be held on October 3 in Layou from 3 p.m. October 7 in South Rivers from 5 p.m; October 9 in Bequia from 3 p.m. and October 11 in Kingstown from 3 p.m. The finals will be played at the Victoria Park on October 13.

The male and female winners will win a trip to Barbados to participate in the World Road Tennis Championships from November 9 to 13. Registration is free and forms can be collected from the Sports Division’s office, on the 1st floor of the Methodist building, opposite the Kingstown Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
