The school, last Saturday at its “Old Boys Fun Day,â held at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field, indicated that the dayâs event was to launch their debut attendance at the Penn Relays.
Coach of the team Rawlson Morgan told SEARCHLIGHT that at present 21 athletes are in training and a final squad will be determined, contingent on many factors.
Morgan disclosed that Saturdayâs undertaking was also one of the fund-raising ventures to help the team get to the Penn Relays, with several others planned.
He revealed that the St Vincent Grammar School, which has a rich history, will be soliciting support from the old boys, both here and in the diaspora, as they seek to make the Penn Relays trip a reality.
The Thomas Saunders Secondary School is the first and only school from St Vincent and the Grenadines to have attended the Penn Relays.
Thomas Saunders debuted in 2011, and has done so each year since.(RT)
