Cane End Inter-village Netball Competition off and running

The Cane End Netball Association Inter-Village Netball Competition got off in earnest last Saturday at the hard court at the Cane End Government School.

When the final whistles were blown, there were victories for Mount Pleasant, High Park United and Francis Combine.{{more}}

Mount Pleasant overcame Country Meets Town Out Ah Trouble 19-10, while the powerful High Park United swept aside Glenside Ball Blazers 42-5.

And, Francis Combine smothered QUESCO Titans 57-14.

Seven teams are contesting the revived competition, which will host a second round of matches this Saturday at the same venue.

Both QUESCO Titans and Glenside Blazers will be looking to record their first win when they meet from 3:45, while Nar Fren Dem will enter the fray against Out Ah Trouble from 5:15 p.m.

The evening’s capper set to commence at 6:30 p.m., sees Mount Pleasant taking on High Park United.(RT)
