SVG recognizes fallen football icons
The families of three of this countryâs fallen soccer icons now have an item which they can reflect on to preserve the rich memories of their loved ones, who were also treasures of the nation of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The plaques, which all capture words that reflect the heroics of the icons on and off the field of play, were presented to the family members of Keith âSlickâ Bonadie, Tyrone âTweetyâ Spence and Fred âGaringhaâ Trimmingham at a presentation ceremony, held at the National Insurance Services (NIS) building on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. The ceremony was held on the completion of a Mastersâ Soccer Tournament, held in their honour at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex on September 3, 2016.
In addition to the presentation of the plaques, the four teams that participated in the tournament were presented with trophies, medals and cash awards for doing well in the inaugural tournament, which organizers say will be an annual affair.
