Middlesex record double win in BCL
Middlesex went on the double, winning both matches last weekend in the Brooklyn Cricket League.
Facing Pak Brighton at Marine Park C on Saturday, Middlesex piled up 313 for 4 in 35 overs. Former West Indies Under-19 player Donovan Nelson, in his first match for Middlesex, made 87, while Rushane Manning scored 82, David Lewis â 39, Rawle Jackman â 35 not out and Mark Audain 27.{{more}}
Bowling for Pak Brighton, Moshin Ali had 2 for 28.
At their turn at the crease Pak Brighton were 161 all out, as Dominic Audain grabbed 4 for 26, Rod Michael â 2 for 21 and Donovan Nelson â 2 for 53, as Middlesex won by 152 runs.
Then, on Sunday, Middlesex turned up at Seaview and came away winners by 71 runs over Eagles.
Middlesex tallied 172 all out in 31 overs; Tegana Mc Kenzie scored 40 and Mark Audain â 31.
Eaglesâ response landed them down at 101 all out, as there were two wickets apiece for Sherwin Bazil, Dominic Audain, Mark Audain and Kavir Singh, at the cost of 19, 23, 26 and 32 runs respectively.
Meanwhile Cavaliersâ match versus Janoon ended prematurely, as in, the third over of the match, a bouncer from former St Vincent and the Grenadines and Windwards fast bowler Casper Davis caught wicketkeeper Alston Michael in the forehead.
Michael had to seek medical attention, thus ending the match and the points shared.
Tomorrow, Saturday, July 16, Middlesex face the Guyanese outfit Diplomats at Marine Park A, another Vincentian team â Imperial â takes on Eagles at Marine Park B, while Stars and Miami Power play each other at Marine Park C.
On Sunday, Stars and Pak Brighton play at Marine Park A, while Middlesex and Yankee oppose each other at Marine Park C.(RT)
