Backing up on their matches, Rate Yo Boys Challengers were engaged in three matches, resulting in two wins on Saturday and a loss on Sunday.

In their first outing on Saturday, Rate Yo Boys Challengers beat AIW Richards Masters by five wickets.

Kenson Fraser picked up 3 for 5; Nicos Grant – 2 for 14 and Paul Jordan – 2 for 16, helped dismiss Richards Masters for 72.

Rate Yo Boys Challengers replied with 77 for 5, with Verbert King scoring 29.

Bowling for Richards Masters, Jimmy Pierre took 2 for 8.

Rate Yo Boys Challengers also took care of Smart Strikers, stifling them to 58 for 7 from 10 overs, in a rain induced reduction.

Damion Barnum took 3 for 13, Mickey Grant – 2 for 10 and Lawrence Kydd – 2 for 15, bowling for Rate Yo Boys Challengers, who replied with 59 for 2 in 7.2 overs. Barnum led the way with 30 not out.

But Sunday morning, Rate Yo Boys Challengers were stopped by Dr Thomas Injectors by 33 runs.

Dr Thomas Injectors, on the strength of Kesron Ashton’s 27, Augustine Corridon’s 26 and Jahiel Walter’s 25, reached 117 for 7 from their 20 overs.

Bowling for Rate Yo Boys Challengers, Andrew Jordan had 3 for 19 and Renford Jack 3 for 24.

In response, Rate Yo Boys Challengers were sent packing for 84, undone by the bowling of Kesron Ashton, who grabbed 4 for 6 and Desron Lavia – 2 for 17.

And, Richmond Hill edged past Rising Stars by five runs.

Richmond Hill scored 86 for 6 from 12 overs, as the match was reduced because of rain. Rohan Ash was the top scorer with 36.

Rising Stars’ bowling was led by Cornelius Edwards, who took 2 for 10, while Ricky King had 2 for 13.

Ricky King then made 24, but Rising Stars’ resistance ended at 81. Rohan Ash was the pick of Richmond Hill’s bowling, taking 2 for 20.

Through to the quarter-finals from group one are Jus For the Fun, Alcoholics, Bank of SVG All Stars and Snipers Reload. From group two come Rogers Photo Studio Fyah One, United Two, Dr Thomas Injectors and Richmond Hill.(RT)
