Three newcomers in SVG U-23 netball team
Three newcomers have made the final cut for the St Vincent and the Grenadines team for the 2016 Eastern Caribbean Central Bank OECS Under-23 Netball Tournament, which gets going here at the Arnos Vale Netball Complex from 4 p.m. tomorrow Saturday, July 9.{{more}}
The three are Rosannia Stephens, Kelesha Francis and Yanneisha Scipio. The trio will join two players who last represented St Vincent and the Grenadines in 2014, in the persons of Naomi Williams and Miranda Spencer in the 12-member team.
They will team up with Shanice Daniel â captain, Khadija Williams â vice-captain, along with Dilonie Sam, Jo-Marie Quashie, Zanelle James, Nerissa Delpesche and Shantal Rouse, as St Vincent and the Grenadines make another attempt to win their 15th Under-23 netball title at the sub-regional level.
St Vincent and the Grenadines, under coach Nicole Sandy-Stevenson, will be in action on the opening evening against Dominica.
On Sunday, St Vincent and the Grenadines meet St Lucia, who have four titles to their name.
Then, on Monday, the Vincentians face off with two-time winners St Kitts on Monday, starting at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday is a rest day for on court action, but the players will be involved in a developmental session at Frenches House and a social in the evening.
St Vincent and the Grenadines play fourâtime winners and defending champions Grenada on Wednesday, with the match set to get going from 6 p.m.(RT)
