United Survivors win again in Greiggs Women’s Softball Cricket Competition

United Survivors have all but been crowned champions of the 2016 Hairoun Brewery SVG Limited, Sea Operations and Nar Fren Dem Greiggs Women 10/10 Softball Cricket Competition.

United Survivors added another win last Sunday at the Greiggs Central Playing Field, thrashing Owia Smashers by nine wickets.{{more}}

Owia Smashers batted first and made 39 all out in 9.4 overs. Dixeon Browne made 16. Shema Wright took 3 for 5 and Samantha Lynch 3 for 9 for United Survivors, who then replied with 41 for 1 in 5.4 overs. Kimone Homer made 17, not out.

Also chalking up wins were Fancy Hard Knox and Bruce Law Nar Fren Dem.

Fancy Hard Knox had an eight-wicket win over Lauders 4-G Force Strikers.

Batting first, Lauders 4-G Force Strikers reached 51 for 9 in 9.1 overs, with Macey De Shong the top scorer with 19.

Bowling for Fancy Hard Knox, Sunella Pope had 2 for 5, Jessenter Bowens 2 for 9 and Lornette Michael 2 for 13.

Fancy Hard Knox got to 52 for 2 in 3.4 overs; Lornette Michael made 21 and Sunella Pope, 21 not out.

And, Nar Fren Dem then beat Fancy Hard Knox by 19 runs.

Nar Fren Dem scored 103 for 3 in their 10 overs, with Siearra Baptiste striking 51 not out.

At their turn, Fancy Hard Knox could only make 85 for 6 in their 10 overs, despite Lornette Michael’s 31. The pick of Nar Fren Dem’s bowlers was Louise Peters, who took 3 for 13.(RT)
