Cavaliers record double wins in BCL
Cavaliers, the triple title holders of the Brooklyn Cricket League won both 40âover matches on the weekend.
On Saturday, Cavaliers faced off against Diplomats at Marine Park A, and trumped by six wickets.{{more}}
Diplomats batting first scored 101 all out in 25 overs. Shevron Darkett topscored with 25.
Bowling for Cavaliers, Orlando Mofford and Casper Davis both had 3 for 11.
In response, Cavaliers scored 102 for 4 from 23 overs; Arline Hinds â 34. Richard Coats was Diplomats most successful bowler, taking 2 for 18.
Then on Sunday, in an all Vincy clash, Cavaliers overpowered Middlesex by 46 runs at Marine Park C.
Cavaliers posted 215 all out. Middlesexâs top bowler was Treldon McMillan, taking 4 for 47; Rod Michael â 2 for 14 and Dominic Audain – 2 for 28.
In reply, Middlesex could only make 169 for 8 from 31 overs, with Rod Michael scoring 53. He was well supported by Darren Denis, with 41.
Ezekiel Williams with 2 for 36 was the lead bowler for Cavaliers.
But on Saturday, Middlesex had the better of Queensbury in another all Vincentian showdown at Marine Park B.
Debrup Bhattacharya on his debut made 85 not out and Lester Benn 27 not out, guided Middlesex to 189 for 9 from 30 overs.
Bowling for Queensbury, fast medium bowler Andy Douglas grabbed 5 for 19, including a hat trick.
Queensbury, in reply reached 161 for 6. Their total was built on Iva Martin – 40, Andy Douglas â 32 and 34 Extras.
Bowling for Middlesex, off spinner Darren Denis had 2 for 17 and Sherwin Bazil â 2 for 34, as their team won by 28 runs.(RT)
