Part of the Sports Leadership Programme of the NOC, the one-day seminar held at Frenches House was the method of transmission to the attendees.
The seminar, which was facilitated by Dougal James, was in two parts: General Financial Reporting systems and Reporting and Accounting for donor claims, such as the Olympic Solidarity/NOC funds.
Whilst the effort was worth the while, as those present found the day well spent. General secretary of the NOC Keith Joseph noted that it was an âembarrassmentâ, that other affiliates could not find it necessary to take part of the process.
This, he said, was compounded by the fact that they were informed, with some giving a commitment to attend.
Only a handful of the NOCâs 18 affiliates was present at last Saturdayâs seminar.(RT)
