Fyah One remain untroubled in EK Softball Competition
Rogersâ Studio Fyah One extended their unbeaten run in the Ruddyâs Electrical East Kingstown Sports Organization Twenty/20 Softball Cricket Competition last weekend at the Grammar School Playing Field.
Fyah One eked out a seven-run win over Rising Stars.{{more}}
Fyah One scored 122 all out; Roneke James made 26 and Javid Harry â 23, while Keroy Roberts picked off 4 for 14 and Nicholas Browne â 3 for 21.
Risin Stars fell short, making 115, with Andrew Glasgow â 28 and Keroy Roberts â 27.
Fyah Oneâs bowling saw Cornelius Emmons taking 3 for 20, Keithlyn Williams â 3 for 31 and Javid Harry â 2 for 4.
Also trumping were All Stars, who shone over Dipcon Road Warriors by 26 runs.
Godwin John struck 62 and Nyron Da Souza â 36 not out, as All Stars posted 159 for 5 from their 20 overs. Bowling for Road Warriors, Jamal Jeffrey had 3 for 26.
Road Warriorsâ response stopped at 133, with Ian Singh making 30 and Hollis David â 23.
Nyron Da Souza followed up with the ball, taking 4 for 15 and Khalique Samuel had 2 for 26.
And, Richmond Hill had a mixed bag, winning one and losing the other.
First up, Richmond Hill suffered a 31-run loss to United Two, but came back against Rate Yo Boys Challengers.
Raffie Williams hit a top score of 20 not out in United Twoâs total of 97 for 9. Elroy Cumberbatch, with 4 for 17, Justin Lee â 2 for 13 and Collin Lee â 2 for 20, helped restrict United Twoâs batting.
But the Richmond Hill batsmen did not respond likewise, and fell for 66, undone by the bowling of Alex Providence â 5 for 21 and Kevorn Cozier â 3 for 12.
But Richmond Hill then saw off Rate Yo Boys Challengers by 21 runs.
Richmond Hill scored 89 for 9. Zenory Lee made 22.
Bowling for Rate Yo Boys Challengers, Joseph Stapleton took 3 for 19 and Paul Jordan, 2 for 29.
Deptor Culzac then snared 5 for 10, Zenroy Lee â 2 for 4 and Justin Lee â 2 for 9, as Rate Yo Boys Challengers were sent packing for 68. Darlan Barnum top scored with 21.
