Cavaliers set to defend BCL 40-over cricket title

Treble title holders Cavaliers, one of four Vincentian outfits contesting the 2016 Brooklyn Cricket League (BCL), will begin its defence of the 40-over competition with back-to-back matches this weekend.

On Saturday, Cavaliers face off with Eagles at Marine Park B, and on Sunday, take on Yankees at Seaview.

While Cavaliers have full action on the weekend, the other Vincentian teams – Imperial, Middlesex and Queensbury will also play on Saturday.

Imperial play Miami Power at Marine Park A, while Middlesex engage Janoon at Marine Park C and Queensbury oppose Pak Brighton at Seaview.

The other teams on the 2016 list are Diplomats and Stars.

Apart from defending the 40-over title, Cavaliers will also attempt to remain holders of the Twenty/20 and the 35-over elimination competition.
