United Survivors tame Tigress in women’s cricket
United Survivors poached their way to a four-wicket win over Tigress in the womenâs division of the national cricket programme, last Saturday at the Sion Hill Playing Field.{{more}}
Tigressâ batting proved to be toothless, as they were dismissed for 105. Crystal John hit a top score of 27.
Bowling for United Survivors, Camille Garrick bagged 5 for 29 and Cordel Jack, 2 for 24.
Jack, who played 20 One-Day Internationals and 13 Twenty/20 for the West Indies, and is the leading batter in the competition, stroked 42, to lead United Survivors to 106 for 6.
Shaniza Daniel and Samantha Caine, both took two wickets apiece, bowling for Tigress.
The win by United Survivors puts them level on 20 points with Garifuna Stars from three matches.
The two are set to square off this Saturday at the Park Hill Playing Field.
When they met in the first round, Garifuna Stars registered a 42-run win over their opponents at the Sion Hill Playing Field.
In that match, Juliana Nero struck 124 not out and snared 3 for 39.
