Bailey tops two-stage cycling event

Zefal Bailey was first in both races of a two-stage event put on by the SVG Cycling Union last weekend.

Also third overall in the 20-miler was Peter Durrant, who also topped the veterans’ category. His timing was one hour 10 minutes 59 seconds. Durrant, the previous day, did likewise, as he was also third overall in the Hill Sprint and first to reach the top among the masters.

Showing that he is ready to be among the elite bunch, Samuel Lyttle again took the fourth place in Sunday’s distance, by clocking one hour 12 minutes 35 seconds.

And, fifth overall and fourth in the elite category was Deptor Culzac in one hour 12 minutes.

Four other cyclists crossed the finish line in Sunday’s race.
