High Park United in defence of Marriaqua netball title

High Park United will seek to defend their title in the Marriaqua area netball competition, which is set to commence this Sunday at the Richland Park Government School’s hard court.

Composed of several players who currently play for national titleholders Western Union Mitres as well their archrivals, Vita Malt Maple, High Park United will want to stave off the other teams which are contenders.

Organizers are hoping that more than the seven teams which participated in last year’s competition will do so this time around.

Sunday’s opening will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the march past of teams and speeches from government and netball officials.

Then, the featured match will see Georgetown and Barrouallie getting the proceedings going.(RT)
