Ministry of Sports kicks off active lifestyle programmes

Active Lifestyle programmes will be held at various venues across the State, in keeping with the Government’s mandate to increase wellness in the country

A release from the Ministry of Sport said on Mondays and Wednesdays the venues are: Chester Cottage, GECCU and the Central Market in Kingstown, from 4:30, and the Pamelus Burke Government school in Byera from 5.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays: Sans Souci at the Resource Centre, Richland Park, the Park Hill and South Rivers playing fields and CWSA in Kingstown, also from 4:30.

The programme in Langley Park starts at the Langley Park Government School at 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and a programme will be coming to Questelles in the South Leeward area soon.

The Ministry will also hold its monthly walk on Wednesday, January 27, beginning at the Central Market at 4:30.

These exercise programmes will be conducted by personnel from the Sports Ministry, and are open to the general public.
