Dolphin Gymnastics and Health Academy Limited offers gymnastics, tumbling and cheer to children of the ages three to 15 years. The gymnasium is located at Prospect Racquet Club and offers full instruction on Olympic gymnastics apparatus. Dolphin Gymnasticsâ programme was started in October of this year, and already has a girlsâ competitive gymnastics team.
The team plans to compete in the USA at the Houston National Invitational, February 5-7, 2016, under the direction of the director and USA National Brevet Judge LaPrise Harris-Williams. The St Vincent and the Grenadines gymnastics team will compete along with 1,500-2,000 other athletes in the US. This is a great honour and a wonderful opportunity for St Vincentian athletes and the development of the sport on the island. The athletes will compete on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and the floor exercise. The team is currently training skills required to compete in USA gymnastics sanctioned events. âThereâs no doubt that the sport will surely add enhancements to the islandâs athletic offeringsâ, says the director LaPrise Harris-Williams. She is confident that the natural abilities and work ethic exhibited by the athletes in St Vincent will lead to a successful competition.
