Dr Thomas Injectors, Stingers advance in TBPO softball showdown

Dr Thomas Injectors and Stingers gained positive results last weekend, thus advancing, when the National Lotteries Authority TBPO competition saw action at the Dauphine Playing Field.

On Sunday, Dr Thomas Injectors registered a five-wicket win over Mac Lil Saints.{{more}}

Mac Lil Saints batted first and made 83 for 7 in 20 overs; Jason Jackson top scored with 19.

Bowling for Dr Thomas Injectors, Kesron Ashton collected 4 for 12.

In reply, Dr Thomas Injectors reached 85 for 5 in 12 overs, led by Elroy Nanton’s 49 not out, as Omari John picked up 2 for 19 and Mckeal Toussaint 2 for 21.

And, Stingers blasted New Track Guys by 102 runs.

Stingers posted 181 for 2 in 20 overs. Adonis Nanton was 73 not out and Calvert Simmons, 49 not out.

New Track Guys could only make 79 all out in 16.3 overs; Dominic Bute struck 33.

Bowling for Stingers, Bradley Richards captured 4 for 9 and Keneal Skinner 2 for 13.

The lone fixture on Saturday saw All Stars winning by six wickets over Georgie Valley Saints.

Batting first, Georgie Valley Saints were dismissed for 69 in 14.4 overs, undone by the bowling of Earl Pope, who took 5 for 12; Dwayne Williams had 2 for 19 and Desmond Bramble 2 for 10.

All Stars reached 74 for 4 in 10.1 overs, with Ron Adams making 18 and Asquith Mapp – 17.

Bowling for Georgie Valley Saints, Zane Greaves took 2 for 11.(RT)
