Adare retains AIW league title

Adare took charge for another year of the Agriculture Input Warehouse Under-16 Division of the Digicel/ Aeropost/St Vincent Brewery/Breakaway Masters Firms Invitational Football Tournament.{{more}}

The Barrouallie-based Adare ousted System Three One, two goals to nil last Sunday afternoon when the final took place at the Grammar School Playing Field.

A goal from Mickel Williams and Shemar Welcome did the trick for Adare.

Before the final, Layou won the third place, beating Volcanoes also two-nil.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, newcomers Belfongo won over Volcanoes on kicks from the penalty spot, after both outfits had played to a goalless draw in regulation time.

It was a similar case when the senior final of the firms’ division was contested on Saturday.

After a 1-1 tie in normal time, Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA) won from kicks from the penalty spot.
