GTC to host Tennis for Hope for Guadalupe Home for Girls

The Grassroot Tennis CLUB (GTC) will on Saturday, November 28 from its base at Murray’s Road, host a Tennis For Hope event to aid the Our Lady of Guadalupe Home for Girls, which is located in Cane End, in the Marriaqua Valley.{{more}}

“This year we are trying to raise EC $5,000 for the Girls of Guadalupe, as we have done it for breast cancer awareness in the past,” Grant Connell of the GTC revealed.

Set up to assist young girls who have had to cope with the challenges of life, that institution is in dire need of assistance, Connell said.

“We at Grassroot are going to play a role in helping to get these young girls get their lives back on track,” Connell stated.

Appealing to those who are in a better position, Connell said, “I hope those young women in society who are much more fortunate will support the cause and buy a shirt.”

Connell wants the general public and those businesses who can assist to help to save a life. Next Saturday’s, event begins at 4 p.m. (RT)
