Richmond Hill pocket double wins in TBPO Softball Cricket
Richmond Hill pocketed two wins last Sunday in the National Lotteries Authority TBPO Softball Cricket Competition at the Dauphine Playing Field.{{more}}
First up, they checked Mac Little Saints by nine wickets.
Little Saints batted first and made 29 all out in 6.5 overs, as Colin Lee, with 4 for 13 and Zenroy Lee â 3 for 16, bagged the bulk of the wickets.
In reply, Richmond Hill rushed to 30 for 1 in 3.4 overs.
Then Richmond Hill did not even need to sweat, winning by default over Godson Caine Highlanders.
Sundayâs other match resulted in Stingers overcoming CGM Novice by 28 runs.
Stingers, on the back of Adonis Nantonâs 35, Kemron Johnâs 23 and Bradley Richardsâ 21, posted 134 for 6 in 20 overs.
Bowling for Novice, Vernardo Primus, Everton Medford and Kimani Thomas took two wickets each. Noviceâs response stopped at 106 for 8 in 20 overs; Renrick Williams stroked 32 and Vincent Cupid, 30.
Bowling for Stingers, Kemron John took 4 for 11.
On Saturday, Bank of SVG All Stars and ASCO registered wins.
All Stars scored 90 all out in 14 overs against Smart Strikers, with Nyron Da Souza and Asquith both making 20. Smart Strikersâ bowling was led by Aldy Spring, who took 3 for 9 and there were two wickets apiece for Britonol Scott and Asreal Baptiste.
Smart Strikers were dismissed for 77 in 18 overs, falling short by 17 runs.
Earl Pope, Dwayne Williams and Andrew Little each captured two wickets.
ASCO won by 59 runs over Georgie Valley Saints.
Roger Gibson, 32 and Darren Greaves, 22, helped ASCO to 139 all out.
Zane Greaves snared 3 for 28 and Danroy Hazell 2 for 9, bowling for Georgie Valley Saints, who at their turn could only reach 80.
ASCOâs bowling saw Antonio Barker taking 3 for 5 and Kemson Dalzine and Ronique Harry, two wickets each.(RT)
