The walk/run, which was a fund-raiser for the St Vincent and the Grenadines Medical Association, saw the sum of $5,000 being handed over to the head of the association Dr Rosalind Ambrose.

Alyssa Hendrich, president of the American Medical Students Association, in evaluating the response to last Sunday’s walk/run told SEARCHLIGHT: “I think it was good… We had twice the turnout as it was last year and we are really grateful for all the support from the community…. We are excited to see it continue to grow.”

Ambrose thanked the Trinity School of Medicine on its initiative and expressed hope that the 5K walk/run would continue its purpose.

The competitive aspect of the walk/run saw medals given to the top places in the various categories.(RT)
