Cavaliers chase after treble in BCL
Cavaliers added the Twenty/20 title to their 40-over crowning in the 2015 Brooklyn Cricket League last Saturday at Marine Park C and set sights on the 35-over elimination competition.
Facing Janoon in the Twenty/20 final, it was another lopsided affair, as Cavaliersâ bowlers, led by Darien Charles with 3 for 8, Dawnley Grant â 3 for 19 and Shaquille Allick â 2 for 12, sent them packing for 80 all out in 19.5 overs. Waseem Akhtar â 24 was the top scorer.{{more}}
Dawnley Grant then stroked 42, as Cavaliers rushed to 83 for 3 in just 9.3 overs. Syed Haider Ali took 2 for 30.
Cavaliers had a protest made by Middlesex ruled in their favour, this paving the way to meet Janoon in the final.
Cavaliers will chase the third title this Saturday, when they meet fellow Vincy team Queensbury at Seaview, while the other all-Vincy pairing sees Middlesex against Imperial at Marine Park, as the four Vincentian outfits commence their 35-over campaign.(RT)
