Members call for SVGTA to hold meeting
The executive of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Tennis Association (SVGTA), headed by James Bascombe, has been issued with a notice, signed by five members, to convene an extraordinary meeting soonest.{{more}}
Addressed to the associationâs president/honorary secretary, the letter, dated September 15, outlined the areas to be discussed when this meeting is called.
The signatories are requesting financial updates on the 2014 and 2015 International Tennis Federationâs tournaments, staged at the National Centre at Villa, along with the âaccounting details of the money received from the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines/National Lotteries Authority for the repairs done to the National Tennis Centre 2015.â
Also on demand are the âDetails of the Bill as submitted by Sydney Lopez for the repair of the six (6) courts at the National Tennis Centre; Position with regard to alleged National Lotteries Authority take-over of the facility and Selection of an interim committee for the executive until the Annual General Meeting is held.â
The signatures affixed to the letter are those of Karen Anderson, Anthony Boyea, Deborah King, Grant Connell and Terry Ballantyne. The letter has also been carbon copied to the National Olympic Committee.(RT)
