SVG Rugby Union gets new international coach

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Rugby Union has recruited a new international coach in Mike Jackson of England.

In a release from the Union, Jackson was chosen out of many applicants to replace Mark Winder,{{more}} who returned to New Zealand after completing his six-month contract.

The position is a voluntary six-month role, which involves running the Youth Programme and training the national teams.

Jackson will be heading the grassroots programme, alongside local coaches in schools. He will also be preparing the national teams for a Seven-A-Side tournament in Tobago in December, and the NACRA 15-a-side tournament, which begins in January 2016.
