Cavaliers outclass Imperial in BCL 20/20 competition

The seemingly unstoppable Cavaliers had another win in the Twenty/20 competition of the Brooklyn Cricket League, thus stretching their unbeaten run in all competitions this year.

Facing Imperial on Saturday at Marine Park C, Cavaliers posted 154 for 6 from their 20 overs, with Shaquille Allick the topscorer with 69.{{more}}

At their turn at the crease, Imperial could only make 104 in 20 overs, as Cavaliers won by 52 runs.

Also on Saturday, Middlesex, another of the Vincy outfits, lost out to Diplomats at Seaview.

Taking first strike, Middlesex scored 104 for 7 in 20 overs; Tyson Crawford was 25 not out.

Bowling for Diplomats, young off spinner Romario Neil had 3 for 23 and veteran and Sydney Matthews – 2 for 17.

In reply, Diplomats scored 105 for 7 in 19.3 overs, Kevin Charles made 22, not out.

Bowling for Middlesex, Mark Audain was 2 for 16, Rod Michael – 2 for 21 and Kavir Singh – 2 for 25, but they could not stop Diplomats from winning by three wickets.

Middlesex, however, returned on Sunday at Marine Park A to conjure an exciting tie with Pak Brighton.

Abdul Wahid top scored with 44, as Pak Brighton made 148 off 20 overs.

Bowling for Middlesex, Chandrapaul Roopnarine picked up 2 for 17 and Rod Michael – 2 for 20.

Middlesex replied with the identical score of 148 in 20 overs. Rod Michael led the scoring with 39 and Linton Downer – 34.

Waseem Sadiq – 2 for 16 and Abdul Wahid – 2 for 23 were the wicket takers for Pak Brighton.(RT)
