Young tennis pair for Bahamas tourney

The Vincentian Tennis duo of Alexi Humphrey and Anastacia White will trade their talents this weekend at an ITF sanctioned Under-14 tournament in the Bahamas.{{more}}

The two will compete in the singles and will team up in the doubles as well.

Both Humphrey and White are in the top 10 of the most recent COTEC rankings. The latest rankings show Humphrey second and White in 10th place.

Apart from gaining more ranking points, they would be looking to add to their successful runs notched up last April .

In a two-week streak, Humphrey and White gathered the Under-14 doubles title in the Scotia Bank Barbados leg of the ITF Caribbean circuit.

Also, Humphrey then proceeded to take the singles title of the bMobile Trinidad and Tobago leg which was an ITF event, with White being the losing finalist.

Their coach Kebajah King, who will not making the Bahamas trip, said that it is this type of outing that the girls need to develop their talents in different places, different conditions and opponents.(RT)
