Middlesex, who won the toss and elected to bat, were 139 for 2 from 20 overs when rain stopped play. Mark Audain was 78 not out, supported by Rawle Jackman 45 not out. The match was called off after the persistent rain, both teams sharing equal points.
The second of the duels on Sunday pit Queensbury against Cavaliers at Marine Park C. Batting first, Queensbury made 96 all out. Bowling for Cavaliers, Shaquille Allick and Marvin Foxton took two wickets each. In reply, Cavaliers, 97 for 6, with Nezer Earle 23 not out, earned victory by four wickets.
But Imperial, after their rain affected match the previous day, registered a six-wicket triumph over Diplomats at the Seaview venue.
Colville Browne, the former St Vincent and the Grenadines, Windwards and Combined Islands player, snared 5 for 23 from five overs to orchestrate Diplomatsâ 90 all out.
Another former St Vincent and the Grenadines and Windward Islands batsman, Hyron Shallow, then slammed 66 not out, as Imperial reached 95 for 4, romping to a six-wicket win. Tavir Sammi took 2 for 26.
