Inching closer to a berth among the four, Radcliffe overcame Police Two last Saturday at the Sion Hill Playing Field.

Radcliffe batted first and scored 106. Gidron Pope made 30.

Bowling for Police Two, Gerald Gould grabbed 4 for 16 and Kenneth Dember – 2 for 13.

Police Two were dismissed for 74, undone by the bowling of Dyke Cato with 4 for 7 and Wesrick Straugh – 2 for 18.

There was more joy in the Radcliffe clan, as Radcliffe Too completed a similar feat on Combined Youths at Arnos Vale One, also on Saturday.

Combined Youths had batted first and scored 124 for 7; Shane Roberts made 35.

Daniel Mc Millan – 2 for 27, was the pick of Radcliffe Too’s bowling.

In response, Radcliffe Too reached 125 for 7, to win by three wickets. Kensley Joseph was the top scorer with 27.

Jerron Wyllie with 3 for 23 and Oneil Endeavour, 2 for 29, tried in vain with the ball.

And, it was more misery for Combined Youths, when they faced off with Carl Joseph Law Chambers ASCO at Arnos Vale Two on Sunday.

ASCO, with good knocks from Desron Maloney – 61 and Andre Hunte – 54 not out, crafted 183 for 7 from their 20 overs.

Oneil Endeavour grabbed 4 for 34 and Nickie Antoine – 2 for 28, bowling for Combined Youths.

In their run chase, Combined Youths stumbled to 103 all out. Nickie Antoine scored 25.

Ranjel Small – 3 for 21, Darius Martin – 2 for 14, Desron Maloney – 2 for 18 and Andre Hunte – 2 for 20, all conjured up with the ball to see their team victorious by 80 runs.(RT)
