LP Combine tops North East Netball competition

Langley Park Combine has copped the revived North East netball competition.

Confirmation of LP Combine’s dominance of the competition came last Saturday night at the Chilli hard court, when they beat Coreas Trailblazers 43-31 in the finals.{{more}}

In the process, LP Combine remained the lone unbeaten outfit in the eight team competition.

Like Trailblazers, who finished second in the league and in the play off phase, so too did Nar Fren Dem, who placed third in both phases.

At Saturday’s closing and presentation ceremony, LP Combine’s Shevorne Browne was adjudged the MVP of the final.

Terresiter Cato, also of LP Combine registered the best goal average, while Shantal Williams was named the best defender, as LP Combine bossed the awds.

Trailblazers’ Fredseeker Bowens was named the best mid court player.

Head of the organising committee for the competition – Vasha Adams said she was pleased with the outcome and thanked the players, donors and spectators for the support shown.(RT)
