Teams make haste in TBPO Softball Cricket Competition as quarter-finals near

Georgie Valley Saints, EZ Woods Toppers, Gomea Bombers and ASCO were all in winners’ row when the National Lotteries Authority Top Belair Progressive Organisation T/20 Softball Cricket Competition continued last weekend at the Dauphine Playing Field.{{more}}

Georgie Valley Saints won over Older Boys by six wickets.

Older Boys scored 90 all out in 14.2 overs; Curtis King made 18. Bowling for Saints, Zane Greaves took 2 for 28. In reply, Georgie Valley Saints reached 94 for 4 in 11.3 overs; Ronnel Boyea with 46 and Vend-cliff Primus 24, were the lead batsmen. Also, Toppers won over ASCO by six wickets.ASCO scored 70 for 7 in 15 overs; Darron Greaves made 24. Bowling for Toppers, Miles Bascombe grabbed 2 for 19.

Toppers responded with 71 for 4 in 14 overs; Miles Bascombe led the way with 31. Donwell Hector had 2 for 12 and Amread Bobb 2 for 17, bowling for ASCO. Likewise, Gomea Bombers won over Nar Fren Dem by six wickets.

Nar Fren Dem batted first and made 126 for 8 in 20 overs, with Damron Prince making 29 and Ziron Harry 24. Bowling for Gomea Bombers, Kendal Payne bagged 5 for 20.

Gomea Bombers then rushed to 129 for 4 in 17 overs; Barry Cunningham stroked 68 and Kendal Payne 30.

And, ASCO won by default over Glen United.(RT)
