On Thursday, just three days before the opening of the tournament, Sun General Insurance presented a cheque for EC$1,800 to organizers of the tournament, for purchasing and printing uniforms.

“Sun General would like to thank the Over-35 Masters for the opportunity to be their sponsors and wish them every success in the tournament,” branch manager Yvonne Williams said during the presentation ceremony, which was held at the company’s office in the Kenmars Mall.

An elated Noel Jackson, treasurer of the SVG Over- 35 Masters organization, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the insurance company for assisting with the tournament.

“This is going to go a long way in making the teams look pretty good, because we have some uniforms that are old. They are so old they are put away in a bag. So, this is really going to give us a boost and make us look good.

“We are proud to wear the name Sun General Insurance,” Jackson said.
