The League and Knockout champions of the Digicel/Aeropost Coreas Hazell Inc Breakaway Masters Firms Football Competition will be determined this Saturday and Sunday, respectively at the Grammar School Playing Field.{{more}}
On Saturday, Vinlec will do battle with ECGC in the league final. The two earned the right for the title shot after displacing their opponents in the semi-finals by kicks from the penalty spot.
Vinlec, who won the inaugural competition in 2011, defeated CWSA 3-1 on Tuesday, after both teams had played to a goalless draw in regulation time.
Then, on Wednesday, ECGC and Coreas Hazells Inc drew 1-1, before ECGC prevailed by the spot kicks route, 3-1.
Before Saturdayâs final, CWSA and Coreas Hazells Inc will contest the third place play-off.
ECGC has another opportunity for another final, as they meet Bonadieâs Supermarkets today, Friday, in the second semi-final of the Knockout Competition.
Yesterday, Thursday, the first semi-final was set and was to feature the 2012 champion, Prime Ministerâs Office and Gibsonâs Building Supplies.
The 2013 edition will conclude on Saturday, November 16, with the champion of champions match, followed by the closing and presentation ceremony.(RT)
