Bobb dismantles helpless Radcliffe

An all-round effort from national player Alston Bobb was the platform for the defence put on by the National Lotteries Authority Premier Division champions,{{more}} Victors One, to record a simple 10-wicket win over OLA Boutique Radcliffe on the weekend at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field.

Bobb made a moderate contribution with the bat and hauled in match figures with the ball of 10 for 87.

Victors One batted first and posted 209 all out, taking advantage of a depleted Radcliffe, who had to rely on their fringe players to make up numbers.

The heavy-set Donson Andrews was his usual self and hit several aerial shots, as he topscored with 47; Keron Cottoy struck 32 and Alston Bobb 30.

Bowling for Radcliffe, Drumo Toney had 2 for 57 and Dyke Cato 2 for 91.

In reply, Radcliffe was shot out for 97, with Lindon James hitting 27.

Alston Bobb, bagging 5 for 38, and the patient Norlan Williams 2 for 25, wrecked Radcliffe’s porous batting.

Asked to follow on, Radcliffe reached 117 all out in their second innings.

Radcliffe’s innings was led by Kensley Joseph who made 44 and Drumo Toney 31. Alston Bobb was again the lead bowler, as he snared 5 for 49; Norlan Williams had 3 for 27 and Keron Cottoy chipped in with 2 for 31.

Victors One made the six required, without the loss of a wicket, to get maximum points out of the match. (RT)
