Curtains come down on NLA Bagga T/20 Softball competition
The National Lotteries Authority Bagga Twenty-20 Softball Cricket Competition concludes this weekend, with the semi finals and finals of the male division at the Keartons Playing Field.{{more}}
The semi-finals will get going from 12:45 pm on Saturday with a big clash between Police and Glen United, followed by Valley Boys taking Suprizers at 2:45 pm, with the winner facing each other from 1pm on Sunday, in the grand finale.
Three of the four semi finalists secured their spots last weekend.
On Saturday, Suprizers whipped powerhouse Summerset by four wickets. Summerset made 80 in their 20 overs. Noxell Michael scored 24, and Nelson Williams, 20. Dillon Duncan took 4 for 24.
Suprizers led by Anton Caesarâs 32 reached the target in 16.5 overs. Noxell Michael had 2 for 14.
On Sunday, Valley Boys defeated Rudyâs Electrical by one wicket. Rudyâs Electrical scored 38, with Romel Jack taking 4 for 10.
Valley Boys rallied to victory but lost nine wickets in the process. Jamal Gould was the chief wicket taker with 3 for 12.
And, Glen United beat Hillview by two wickets. Hillview chalked up 102 in their 20 overs. Rayburn Dickson hit 21.
Glen United reached their winning target in the 20th over. Marcus Hackshaw struck 31. Bowling for Hillview Rohan Dickson took 3 for 43.
Following the Male Division Final on Sunday, Glen United and New Dynamics meet from 4pm, to determine the winner in the Female Division.
